President Trump issued a proclamation, dated April 22, 2020, regarding the suspension of certain types of immigration into the U.S. The Proclamation has little impact on individuals who are inside the U.S. It applies to only a narrow group of individuals who are outside the U.S. and who will apply for entry to the U.S. using “immigrant visa” stamps that they do not yet have. Effective immediately, all Category 2 and 3 Academic Visitors are required to complete the University of Pittsburgh Title IX Training: Preventing Discrimination and Sexual Violence. There are two administrative actions that are necessary before an academic visitor can access the Title IX training.
